Here’s the final post about our mother daughter Jamaica vacation! Read part I and part II first.

When I left off in post #2, we had just had lunch on our first full day in Jamaica (Thursday). We spent the afternoon down by the ocean again until 4:00 when we wandered up to the main building for Afternoon Tea! They had this everyday, and we loved that it was included in the stay.

Scones, Cookies, Tea Sandwiches, Fruit, Donuts, Crudités, and Hot and Iced Tea

    Bubbly + Bubbles

After tea, we walked up to our villa to enjoy the bottle of prosecco Round Hill gifted my sister for her birthday. Mixed with a little grapefruit juice!

    Showered + dressed for dinner

    Farm-To-Table Night

The dinner theme of the evening was farm(sea)-to-table, and we loved all the seafood on the menu.

    Goat Cheese “Tartlet” Salad

We shared a snapper entree and the mofongo (which I have since realized is a Puerto Rican dish made with plantains!)

    Friday

On Friday morning, mom and I did a morning walk down to the spa and back before breakfast was served. It was so beautiful out this early in the day.

    Breakfast

I loved having breakfast in our villa, and this time we ordered scrambled eggs and coconut pancakes! I gotta learn to re-create those.

    Glass Bottom Boat

After breakfast, we had scheduled a complimentary glass bottom boat ride! While we didn’t see a ton of sea life, it was fun to get out on the water and hear some of the history of the cove. We also heard more about Hurricane Melissa that hit Jamaica last fall and how scary that was for our guides.

This “mountain” is actually made from coral!

    Pool Day

After a day and a half at the beach, we moved up and sat by the infinity pool. The view from here was just spectacular!

The pool menu is casual and we decided to dine poolside rather than going up to the restaurant.

Jerk Chicken Tacos in a Breadfruit Shell

    Marg O’Clock!

    Final Dinner

After lots of sun at the pool, we took a final dip in our villa pool and dressed for dinner.

    Happy Hour with Jazz

We enjoyed happy hour with a colleague of my sister’s in the travel biz. I had a bourbon negroni and learned a lot about the industry.

    Jamaica Night

Our final night (Friday night) happened to be Jamaica night themed. There was a large buffet set up with lots of traditional dishes, and even entertainment! (Note this night was about $100/pp so it wasn’t cheap).

My favorites were the conch, fish cakes, curry chickpeas, and sweet potatoes.

    Entertainment

Don’t try this at home! He’s on top of a chair on top of 4 beer bottles! So impressive.

    Farewell Breakfast

We had one final breakfast on Saturday morning – more coconut pancakes for me! Plus tropical fruit and fried eggs.

If you are interested in experiencing Round Hill, you can reach out to my sister here. They have a third-night-free promo going through the end of the summer, so it’s a great deal to go this time of year. The high season tends to be the holidays through Spring Break, and then there are great promos in May – August. Check out her Instagram post too for more details on the resort.

I would absolutely go back to Round Hill. I think it’s the perfect spot for couples, girls trips, and families with young kids. For older kids (like mine) I think I’d go to somewhere a bit louder with more water slides and things. But if you’re looking for that “sense of place” in an intimate, high end setting – this is it.
